Zhoug Sauce

A spicy Cilantro Sauce originally from Yemen. Very popular in the Middle East and trendy in the States. It is supposed to be spicy! Some like it really hot. You can use as many and what ever peppers you like.

It goes great in hummus, anything off the grill, yoghurt dips, roasted vegetables. It can also be a sandwich spread and for the bold and mighty, with chips as an hors d’oeuvre.

The key ingredient to make it really special is cardamom. Some also make it with Caraway seeds.
